Encountered this prayer that spoke to me during the 40 day fast.
Day 13:
Lord, help me in my waywardness; I read your words and yet do not follow them. I shut my ears to your voice and, when i do hear your voice, I do not listen to what you say. I tell others to live lives of Christian example and yet I fail again and afain to do so myself.
Father, I am unworthy of your love.
Lord, help me in my weakness; I wander from your way and follow the falsehoods of the world, chasing the illusions of success and dreams of the false happiness of riches - and yet all the while I call myself your child and servant.
Father, I am unworthy of your sacrifice.
Lord, help me to overcome my pride; I show the world my Christian face and yet, within my mind, I listen to the lies and promises of the evil one. Time andagain, I weaken and fall into sinful ways and thoughts.
Father, without you I am nothing.
Be my guide and my guardian. Takem my life and shape me upon the wheel of your world as potters shape the clay with their hands. Lord, teach me to be true.
AMEN.

Birds of the Air
Just wanna say that God has been good.
Was reading the bit on the captivating book where God gave John a whale and Stasi starfishes. I too asked God to give me something from him... the next morning as i stepped out of the house, this is the first thing i saw. i googled it and its a rainbow lorikeet. God must've known my favourite colour is rainbow! =)))
I knew immediately it was from God cos i asked for it and it just came. Also, wiki says its habitat is woodland areas, rainforests and coastal bushes. Why the hell were they perched on the tree opposite my house?
WOOT WOOT! =)))
God says that even the birds of the air he feeds... and now spring is here. He clothes even the lilies of the field, how much more will he provide for us, his children?
AMEN!!! =)))

Day 5:
Isaiah 61
" 1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me;..."
To do what?
"...because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
4And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
5And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves."
What is the Gentiles? where is it referring to? So confusing...
***

Day 4: "What do you want me to do for you?"
40 day fast has started and it has been super crazy hard!!!
I am fasting 1 hour of my time in the morning before i go about my day. Its so hard an i must admit that ive not been consistent and have been really tired. But the Lord is my source and my strength. Jia you!
I am fasting for a direction for next year. Should I do honours? masters? go back sg? Find work? do what? I really have no clue....
May God bring clarity as i seek him these 40 days.

Day 4: "What do you want me to do for you?"
Matt 20:29-21:17
- Two blind men receiving sight. Jesus asked "what do you want me to do for you?". He had compassion and healed them. Jesus at the temple in anger overturned gambling tables and proclaimed that his is the house of prayer. He then continued to heal the lame and blind and used scriptures to rebuke the pharisees who tried to discredit him.
As i read this i felt that Jesus was asking me what do i want. What do I want him to do for me? I actually don't know what i want... All i want is to have what God wants for me. What is his path for me?
I also observed that though in anger, Jesus still had compassion for those around him. He was still able to heal. Also, he had a good tactic in rebuking the pharisees. Many people will wrong you but how do you handle that situation? Use the law then leave the place to avoid further assaults?
I feel this 40 days will align my heart towards God's and eventually, i will know his will for me.
Dear God, thank you that you have given me a hope and a future that i may be confident in you and assured that my future is in your hands and that i am precious in your sight. Thank you for caring for me. I pray that you align my heart towards yours that i may know what direction to take. Clarify the situation oh God that i may know that the Lord of Lords have spoken. Give and will a desire within me that is consistent with yours as I look towards you. Guide my heart and will. At the same time, give me the compassion for others at all times and give me the wisdom to know how to rebuke. I pray for your grace and mercy. Forgive me my sins today and cleanse me from unrightousness. May you glory reign in me and may your spirit dwell peacefully within me.
Thanks for that! In the name of Jesus i pray, AMEN!

Major Decisions
40-day fast is up soon and i am praying for direction in a decision. Thank you Lord for the word:
Confirming Decisions
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 2 by Os Hillman
Friday, August 13 2010
"Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed" (Proverbs 15:22).
Confirming major decisions through the counsel of others is one way God protects us from poor decisions. This process is designed to confirm direction for which we are seeking confirmation. Paul was sensitive not to get too heavy-handed in the confirmation process though. He offered advice to others but was not the enforcer of their decisions. "And here is my advice about what is best for you in this matter"(2 Corinthians 8:10).
The requirement for efficient administration frequently requires single points of decision-making. Where there is willingness and trust to receive input, there is also humility, faith, and grace for God to work His pleasure in His servant. Where there is unwillingness, the opposite is true.
There have been times in my life where I have felt strongly about a certain issue only to receive feedback from those close to me which revealed that I was not accurate in my assessment of the situation. I have learned to yield in such situations, trusting that God is working through those in whom I am accountable.
The scriptures encourage us to seek advice and counsel from other Godly people who share the same values and goals that we have. "Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise"(Proverbs 19:20). "Make plans by seeking advice; if you wage war, obtain guidance"(Proverbs 20:18).
Peace of mind is another important confirmation requirement for making decisions. If you do not have peace about a decision, you should wait until God gives you peace. This does not mean your decision may not have some tension due to the faith aspect of it, but deep down you should have a peace that it is the right decision. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).
Do you need to make a major decision? Ask God to give you confirmation through others.
AMEN!

Update Time!
Recently attended the Planetshaker's Beautiful Women's Conference with Huis and it was amazing! God revealed to me things about myself and indeed the truth set me free! It was life changing and amazing...
Through my experience and testimony, my friend Char started asking me about it and i was privileged to share the gospel with her. I hope it was good seed sown... i'm really very excited about this =)Woot... to God's glory!
That's just one story.
For now, i feel like i need to reconnect again. Everyday i feel like i'm losing touch with myself.. So many things to deal with. Have i been running alone? Perhaps.
God help.. sometimes life seems overwhelming when i've to juggle work, studies, church, relationships and even helping my sis do her work. That was frustrating but i'm done bitching about it. I guess the verse for me in all this is to seek ye first His kingdom and His righteousness and ALL these things shall be added unto me.
Wonder what are ALL these things that God's referring to... is it more responsibility and work? I wish i can say that its a blessing.. but at this moment, its just eating my time and energy. Then in what way can i be set free here? Perhaps u can tell me.
Anyways, i'm preparing for HC now and thought that i could use this space to be pensive abt how i'm living my life so far. Its funny how i can get so fired up in an instance and totally get distracted from God straightaway.
The other thing is, i'm attempting to do the 40hr fast to help raise funds for the Global Food Crisis. Instead of fasting food, i will be fasting talking. I think the scary thing is not about not talking... its about setting up the event and being open and loud abt the cause i am going for and what i am representing. That if i say i am not talking, i have the responsibility to represent this cause by not talking. Its like if i say im a christian, i have the responsibility to act like a christian. Wow.
I've been asking God to speak to me and the last 2 posts i read was discussed how people face opposition whenever you are involved in a cause greater then themselves and that if its a risky thing that God has called you to step into, know that Jesus has given you the courage to step out.
Faith is needed! Faith comes from hearing the word... so i'm listening to christian songs now while preparing HC. Hehe!
Next update till again! =)

Dream.
Recently God has reminded me of a dream i used to be excited about. P. Tim asked me about on last sat and on sun, Gavin asked me about it again. Interesting how God put these ppl to ask me these things. And P. Tim says he wants to hold me to it and that i should start NOW. I shouldn't wait and leave it as a dream but put it into action.
The dream is that i want to revolutionise the education system. I want to change the way kids are being taught and provide a place where role modelling and character building is prevalent in the school's system. I foresee that this would be a solution to the lack of parenting and emphasis on personal/character development in future.
Anyways, here's the TGIF i received today which i thought was so relevant... besides, whilst talking to Tim, i realised that i had experience in the training industry for a reason. so cool huh! okok... tgif for now =)

"All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty" (Prov 14:23).
Is there something you would like to accomplish in life but simply cannot find the hours in the day to get started? Many of us suffer from procrastination. We justify putting our dreams aside because we don't believe we have the time or resources to accomplish the task.
Many times people tell me they believe they are called to write a book. I tell them, "Great, if God has called you to write a book, begin to write it." Sometimes the response is: "But I don't have a publisher." "That has nothing to do with it," I say. "That is not your problem. If God calls you to write a book, you are to begin to write. You may not be writing to get published. You may be writing for other purposes."
"The LORD your God will drive out those nations before you, little by little" (Deut 7:22). If God has given you a vision to do something, begin by taking baby steps toward that project. Begin to focus on the vision and take action steps toward it. Many times people ask me, "How in the world do you have time to write? You travel so much and seem to have such a full schedule." My answer to them is that I have a specific time of day in which I commit to writing. It is usually between 5 AM and 8 AM. I have found this to be my most creative and productive time. Very little can get in the way of this time if I believe God has given me a project to do.
You will be amazed at what God can do with a little each day. Do not let procrastination prevent you from accomplishing what God may want to do through your life. Make plans today to take baby steps toward the vision that is in your heart.
AMEN!
Gotta hand in my draft to Tim by this weekend man! GG. so much work to do too...
