I read yesterday in the newspapers that Noah's Ark was found and researchers say it is 99.9% confirmed. It was dated like more than 4,000 years ago and was found on Mt Ararat or something... the tallest point in the region. How awesome is this? That God continually shows himself to human kind and slowly reveals the truths of the Bible.
Scary shit was that my TGIF was entitled "Noah's Building Plan". I was so scared i decided to read it the next day.
So i did.. and God was good. He didn't really scare me that much. It was more reassuring that He will instruct me and will be there. But then, it also made me feel how i'm soooo not like Noah! Maybe I need to learn to be like that... to just listen and be obedient. =S
Here's the article anyways:
Noah's Building Plan
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 2 by Os Hillman
Tuesday, April 27 2010
"Noah did everything just as God commanded him" (Gen 6:22).
When God chooses to do something on the earth He uses a man or woman to accomplish it. It is a partnership that is very one sided. God got the worst part of the deal.
God got to a very bad place with the human race. He decided to start over. He was going to wipe out the entire population and begin afresh. He chose one man to place His entire strategy around. Can you imagine that? God placed His entire plan around one man. Why? Because He could trust him. The Bible says Noah did everything just as God commanded him. He didn't argue with God. He didn't take short cuts. He listened and he obeyed.
Who was this man Noah? "Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God" (Gen 6:9-10). When it came time to execute God's plan, He chose Noah to build a big boat. However, Noah had no idea what a boat was or how to build one. So, God told him how to build it. He gave him the dimensions; the height, width, space requirements - everything he needed to complete the task.
God will instruct us in performing our work too. God is in partnership with us in our working life. He has given us the tools, the creativity, and the drive to accomplish what He placed us on earth to do. That partnership requires us to listen to our senior partner though because He knows the exact way our project is to be done. And when you follow His direction that project will be excellent in every way.
"Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: 'I am the LORD your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go'" (Isaiah 48:17).
Do you need God to show you how to succeed in your call? Ask for His wisdom and understanding. God says he will give it generously (James 1:5).
AMEN & AMEN!!!

1 Thess 5:24
1 Thess 5:24 "The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it"
He is faithful and He knows exactly what i need. Today i met with this Aunty who works in church. I've been wanting to meet up with her cos i felt a connection with her in terms of wavelength in the spirit. Somehow, she asked me to meet up... even on her leave day because she felt this was important and indeed it was! It was a divine appointment which she recognised and obeyed.
Talk with her was awesome! God knew i needed someone to watch over me and be accountable to me and render support as i start this new housechurch again. It was awesome cos God just connected us and I saw what she wanted to do as part of my calling here, like everything was just so in sync. Like so in line u know.
So yea.. I just wanna thank God for hearing that call and for bringing Aunty Kim to me. She prayed for me and stuff and it felt really good! It was really divine =)

His Love.
I was asking God to speak to me in the next ODB i read and His word was so accurate. This is the article:
A young man told his father, “Dad, I’m going to get married.”
“How do you know you’re ready to get married, Ron?” asked the father. “Are you in love?”
“I sure am!” he replied.
The father then asked, “Ron, how do you know you’re in love?”
“Last night as I was kissing my girlfriend goodnight, her dog bit me and I didn’t feel the pain until I got home!”
Ron has got that loving feeling, but he has a lot of growing to do. Vernon Grounds, a former writer for Our Daily Bread, who has been married for more than 70 years, shares these points about how to grow in love:
Ponder God’s love in Christ. Take time to reflect on how He gave His life for you. Read about Him in the Gospels, and thank Him.
Pray for the love of God. Ask Him to give you an understanding of His love and to teach you how to live that out in your relationships with your spouse and others (1 Cor. 13).
Practice the love of God. Give of yourself. A newlywed told me he thinks love is practical. He said, “My responsibility is to make life easier for my spouse.” The other, tougher side of love is to challenge each other to act in godly ways.
Love will grow when we ponder love, pray for love, and practice love.
This is my prayer, kind Father,
So direct me from above
That I may live a life for You
And reflect my Savior’s love. —Messenger
As Christ’s love grows in us, His love flows from us.
******
I have lots to learn. God please show me your love and enlarge my heart to love like u do. Amen!
And thanks for answering me and giving me strength... You are a living God and i'm glad to have you! =)
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
" 4 Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not want what belongs to others. It does not brag. It is not proud. 5 It is not rude. It does not look out for its own interests. It does not easily become angry. It does not keep track of other people's wrongs.
6 Love is not happy with evil. But it is full of joy when the truth is spoken. 7 It always protects. It always trusts. It always hopes. It never gives up.
8 Love never fails. But prophecy will pass away. Speaking in languages that had not been known before will end. And knowledge will pass away."

"Yes, he has hidden himself among the baggage" (1 Sam. 10:22).
If you want to experience something you've never done, you must do something you've never done. In his book Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing His Will, Henry Blackaby writes, "You cannot go with God and stay where you are."
God often has to radically change us if we are going to fulfill His purposes in our lives. Saul was about to be anointed by Samuel as the first king of Israel. Samuel said to Saul, "The Spirit of the Lord will come upon you in power, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person" (1 Sam. 10:6). Up to this point, Saul had never prophesied or led a group of people. He had also never had to be accountable to a prophet and to God for his every action.
Saul took a big step of faith right away and prophesied with the prophets just as Samuel said he would. How exciting that must have been. Yet, when Samuel called the entire nation of Israel together to announce him as Israel's first king in history, Saul was nowhere to be found. This part of the story is humorous. Excitement is in the air, but when they call Saul's name, he doesn't even come forward. So the people "inquired further of the Lord, 'Has the man come here yet?' And the Lord said, 'Yes, he has hidden himself among the baggage'" (1 Sam. 10:22).
I recall when God began moving me from a career in advertising to a new ministry to men and women in the workplace that involved writing and public speaking. Neither of these were my particular forté. I was forced to do something I had never done.
The story of King Saul should be an encouragement to us all. God continues to pick the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. Your greatest setback can be thinking that there's no way that God can use "little me." However, the reality is that He can and will, if we respond to the new places He takes us.
So many confirmations and clicks in my heart =) Thank you God!

Not by strength nor by might...
But by the power of the Holy spirit =)
TGIF - April 9th.
"Today, bring every project and endeavor before the Lord as you ask for His power and grace to accomplish it using both your natural gifts and the Spirit of God working together."
How timely! Today God just confirmed many things about what He has put in my heart for the new Housechurch. Karen on stage confirmed it when she spoke about community, Ellie confirmed it, was in Tim's heart and Kirsty confirmed it. Super confirmation! I'm pretty excited about it but not looking forward to the grind. Nevertheless, i know it will be rewarding and I know this is what God wants.
So today, i shall commit this new project called STITCHES where street kids with troubled homes can come for shelter and be empowered to live a better life. There will be an outreach thing this 8 May. Do pray because the Lord is doing a great work and we need spiritual coverage! =)
Btw, today in church i was officially commissioned to be a housechurch leader. In my mind i didn't think there was a need to be acknowledged like that but then again this will keep me on my toes. God sees the heart but people see the being. Don't play play Per!

Open close open close.
I think i'm not meant to have a piercing other than the original ones on my earlobes. Somehow, everytime i meet Lynn and Jim, my piercing would have a prob. So it dawned on me that maybe God didn't want me to have it for some reason. Asked God to tell me if he really didn't want me to have it then i went to the shop to put the stud back and strangely the hole closed within an hour! Maybe God really didn't want me to have it!
Somehow, i saw this sign as a new beginning. Like being clean and starting this new season. Tomorrow leading housechurch again. I don't know man.. i missed Mah's bball match today to kinda prep for tom. first thing's first.
Anyways, hope i know what i'm doing. *fear and trembling*
Thanks God for your grace and mercy. You just show up can already =)

So Life Begins Again.
This is my Bday weekend and here are my reflections:
I hate my birthday. This is really personal.
Honestly maybe it was stemmed from since i was a kid. It was always disappointing cos my parents would forget or be away on business trips n no one would really celebrate that and Yeronn's was during june hols so we always went overseas and have nice celebration for him. Haha.. so sad rite? So yea, i've developed this sianness for my bday and i didnt really wanna do anything this year but maybe God was compensating me for my lack of childhood celebrations so my friends kinda organised shit for me.
So what have i done? On Sat we had a gathering of 13 close friends for a nice dinner. Was pretty cool cos each of them were assigned a color to wear so the whole thing was colorful and my color to wear was colorful. I had so much difficulty finding a nice colorful top but God was good nonetheless. After that, i got a table at bass and we partied the night away with everyone. I didn't really think much of my bday nor did i expect anything or feel like a bday girl but it was good being with my friends and i realised these kinds of celebrations bring ppl together. I've always been known to be a ppl gatherer but it never really was reality to me like i don't think so or i don't see it but i guess so then. My other friends had a house party and they cancelled the whole thing cos it clashed with my celebration, was pretty touched by that. Anyways, on Monday i went to work and finished by 12.30pm so chilled with Char, Becky and Rick at Docklands was pretty nice just to chill n relax. After that we played Barry then I met Mah for dinner. We had nice steak and stuff. Oh so funny too cos this year, i was wearing a Tiffany & Co. necklace on my bday and my friends bought me Tiffany necklace and so did Mah! Wah! Super Tiffany man! lol! Lucky different type of necklace... most of my pressies were accessories too. Was happy the guys got me perfume and they wrote me a sweet card, which i appreciated alot. I really think i'm really blessed. Even Mah says so =) and i know it is God's favour and grace on me. I don't deserve this.
All in all, i appreciate the efforts of my friends to celebrate my life and am grateful for their love and friendship. I think this bday really reaffirmed me of who i am and what ppl celebrate me for. God was showing me more about myself thru the eyes of others and encouraging me on this race. I miss my friends back home too and I know i wouldn't have been who i am today if not for the support and love i got from Singapore. So thanks for impacting me so that i can be an impact to others here!
Now, look ahead and fix my eyes on the prize.
I have been filled over and abundantly, my cup overflows and it shall flow from within to the streets.
Verse for 29 Mar TGIF - Becoming Influential:
"The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom" (Deut 28:13-14).
Amen and amen! =)
